# File management, authentication, and other essential system processes # Ensure that the D-Bus Communication System is running properly to fix I just thought that maybe someone had already solved the problem of getting Filezilla to cooperate with key authentication on Arch.Įval $(/usr/bin/gnome-keyring-daemon -start -components=gpg,pkcs11,secrets,ssh) But I have zero interest in going down the gnome path.) All I know for sure is it works in Ubuntu without having to run anything that the bloated ubuntu already runs - and I presume it's the gnome-keyring that is doing the ssh handshake. There is some internet rumbling that Filezilla is picky about such things. (To be clear, the issue is not getting key authentication to work on Arch, it's getting it to work in Filezilla on Arch. I'm also not sure I want to just keep "trying" this or that key handler in the effort.

I suspect it is not to be, unless I start running all kinds of Gnome stuff - which I don't want to do. I just thought it would be nice if I could actually get Filezilla to work. Currently I use various other more commend line methods to do sftp and sshfs to "mount" my server directory when needed. It's just a nice convenient tool that conveniently does what I'd like to do and is do-able for my Windows-bound wife.
